Here's why
The old system for air duct sanitizing has been the fogger.
With the fogger, the application would go one of two ways. Most would simply hold the fogger and aim it into the heat and cooling vent and shoot the disinfectant mist into the vent for about 2 minutes, each vent would be done in hopes the disinfectant would go deep into the system.
We did an experiment to compare the fogger with our SaniJet and found that the disinfectant when about 2 ft. the rest was bone dry.
The other method was used to get the job done much faster. They would hold the fogger at a cold air return with the furnace running. This method would also contaminate everything in the house like furniture, table tops, counter tops, basically everywhere.
